Jetty x LBT

We've long collaborated with Long Beach Township to promote surfing, music and fun in the sun!  This Summer we're raising the bar and raising more funds for our Jetty Rock Foundation in the process.  On top of our 13th Annual Jetty Coquina Jam (7/25), we've highlighted a bunch of other events where we'll be selling our JRF Mega 50/50 Raffle tickets and operating the Jetty Mobile Beach Bar!  We're also joining in on the Red Bull Foam Wreckers soft top surf contest!  It's going to be a great Summer, so celebrate getting back outside, learn about our Oyster Recycling Program... Coastal Recreation Hill Day - 2021

“Change is not easy. Change is not fast. But there are a lot of people on Capitol Hill—who we met and we had the chance to talk to—who we know are on our side when it comes to trying to protect the environment, protecting clean water, stopping plastic pollution, fighting climate change.”- Alex Vai At this year’s Coastal Recreation Hill Day, hundreds of Surfrider activists, recreation industry leaders, partners, and ambassadors had the opportunity to meet with our nation’s federal leaders and urge them to protect our coasts and ocean. Now it is your turn. Together, we can slow the effects of... Read More...

Arctic Outreach goes virtual for $13K+!

This year was still about fundraising for our Arctic Outreach event, we just couldn't get together in 30-degree weather to toast!  We're stoked on the support from our sponsors as well as YOU, who together texted in donations in excess of $13,500!  We're really looking forward to throwing great parties again, but we'll pivot as necessary until that is possible.  Thank you for helping us embrace the past five years of this event by supporting it virtually during February '21.  The Jetty Rock Foundation will be sending out donations to Piper & Cedar (in loving memory of Mallory McBrien) as... Arctic Outreach Virtual Fundraiser '21

We're incredibly bummed that we cannot run our 6th Annual Arctic Outreach event, but let's join together in virtually fundraising for those in need!  Arctic Outreach is traditionally held in February with the idea that we can brave an outdoor event to raise funds for our Jetty Rock Foundation's Community & Education sector.  The event, held In Loving Memory of Mallory McBrien, has raised $232,179.60 over the past (5) years!  To keep the spirit of this great gathering alive, we're going virtual! ACME Give Back Where It Counts!

Our Jetty Rock Foundation was nominated to receive a $1 donation per reusable bag purchased at the Manahwkin (NJ) ACME this month!  It may seem like a small initiative, but we're stoked to be selected as the donee, and every dollar certainly helps our Foundation!  We appreciate being a part of the ACME GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program.  If you visit any ACME, then please consider grabbing a reusable bag!   Read More...

P$ Will Live On!

We lost Patrick Harrington to Cancer the other day, a friend who will live on through all of us as we grieve and move forward.  P-money embodied everything that we set out to do with Jetty and he was by far our biggest supporter from the very beginning.  Nobody has more Jetty gear than Pat, has slapped more stickers or can say that they have attended more Jetty events.  His love for surfing and the Long Beach Island surf community extended well beyond our little barrier island here in New Jersey.  He made it to the Clam Jam finals in 2011... Sea Change RCO

In tune with our Jetty Rock Foundation mission to support those who build their lives around the water, we'd like to introduce Sea Change RCO.  Sea Change is a new nonprofit recovery community organization (RCO) that aims to prevent and treat individuals struggling with opioids, drugs and alcohol.  We're aware of the rising numbers here in our home state of New Jersey and are supporting what we hope will become a new nonprofit model for recovery services and community organizing.  Please consider a donation toward their start up expenses on their GoFundMe page!         Read More...

Giving Tuesday 2020!

It goes without saying that 2020 has produced the need for charitable giving.  There is still so much uncertainty in Jetty's world, but we have not waivered from our commitment to support our environment as well as those in need.  We donated $208,111.20 in 2019 and as of today we have donated $305,729.37 in 2020!  Our Rising Tides & Raised Glasses Initiatives were key in responding to COVID-19, and tactfully we were still able to squeeze in some safe events which produced funds for further donations pertinent to our Jetty Rock Foundation's mission: To protect our oceans and waterways, and support those who build their lives around them. If you are able to... Read More...

Paws for a Cause: Uniting Lily & Fred!

It has been nearly two years since we held our inaugural Paws for a Cause event on April 27, 2019.  We had to cancel the 2nd annual this past Spring, but are currently virtualizing it in order to complete our goal: to connect Lily, a Type-1 Diabetic, with Fred, her diabetic alert dog!  Fred, a standard poodle, has been trained to smell dangerously low and high blood sugar levels on Lily and provide a level of security as she approaches adulthood.  Lily will also get lots of love and emotional support from Fred, resulting in an increased sense of security and balance... Gardella vows to help fellow surfer

Jetty Ambassador Nic Gardella has vowed to help a fellow NJ surfer who was tragically paralyzed on July 4th.  Aaron Carr was surfing in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ on the holiday when a wave unexpectedly threw him against the bottom before he could brace for impact.  Check out Nic's Instagram for details on how he plans to raise funds which we will donate directly to Aaron via our Jetty Rock Foundation.  We just love this effort by such a young man who is showing dedication to his community!         Read More...

Charlotte's Victory Celebration

Earlier this month, a local resident reached out for assistance in celebrating her daughter's 3rd birthday.  Charlotte Scalese and her family were told that if her high risk neuroblastoma wasn't treated, then she wouldn't see her next birthday.  This past July it was officially declared that Charlotte was in remission!  Drawing on the few dollars left to be donated from our Arctic Outreach event, we were happy to assist by providing a Mister Softee truck on site for the party!  We are now within $10,000 of hitting the $1.5 million mark in donations via Jetty + Jetty Rock Foundation since... Online Sales for the JRF!

Above: Our 1st HopSauce Festival in 2014 We're sending 10% of profits from online sales this week to our Jetty Rock Foundation!  We had to cancel HopSauce Festival which always kicks off our fundraising efforts for the Summer season, so we're hoping that you can help us replace those funds by simply purchasing some new gear!  Saturday, May 30th would have been an epic day in Beach Haven (NJ), but we do not want to lose sight of what it means for our nonprofit initiatives.  HopSauce has helped to fund technology for LBI schools, our Oyster Recycling Program and the... Oystex by Jetty

We are stoked to introduce our new Oystex fabric coming AUGUST 2020!  We’ve taken our commitment to clean waterways to the next level by developing an innovative material that combines ground up oyster shells with recycled polyester to create a soft, breathable fabric without limiting stretch, durability or comfort. Oystex boasts anti-odor, anti-static, and insulating properties and diverts two different materials from the waste stream, lessening the ecological impact of each Oystex offering. ⠀⠀From the coast. #GivingTuesdayNow

Today marks the first Giving Tuesday Now which is a global effort in response to COVID-19!  Whether you have been a fan of Jetty since the early 2000's, or have recently been introduced to our brand, then you likely know that charity and community are core to our DNA.  We formed our Jetty Rock Foundation in the wake of Superstorm Sandy and have continued to use our company as a vehicle to do good!  Achieving B-Corp status was a feather in our cap, but the actual execution of donations and attention to our environment are the two items that drive us... COVID Creative Corner: Ann Coen

Every week we are focusing on which groups we can help and how to effectively do so.  The Rising Tides Initiative has helped our retailers and the Raised Glasses Initiative has propped up LBI-based bars.  Let's not forget about the creatives who we work with to make the magic happen!  Our first spotlight shines on Ann Coen Photography, part of the Jetty fam from day one and having accomplished countless photo shoots for us!  Ann is also the former President of our Jetty Rock Foundation and has contributed so much toward our fundraising events.  With weddings backed up and her... Raised Glasses Initiative

On the heels of our Rising Tides Initiative, we're introducing the Raised Glasses Initiative, a hyper-local salute to all (27) bars on Long Beach Island, NJ.  We've grown well beyond the 18-mile barrier island that gave us our start in 2003 and has supported us deeply since, so it is important for us to never forget our roots.  We wanted to create a special program to assist the watering holes where we have worked, met, traded stories, designed on the backs of coasters and celebrated over the years.  It is on these very bar stools that Jetty continues to be discussed, touted,... Earth Day 2020

On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, has it ever been more evident that we hold the keys to better our environment?  We have always been an eco-conscious brand, but in full transparency, what we were working on before COVID-19 was a plan which called for more sustainability.  Thankfully, we have a decent head start with sound practices in our own production facility at Jetty Ink, attention to detail along the rest of our supply chain and a growing Oyster Recycling Program.  We're proud of what we accomplish day in and day out, but we know that we can always...
