On last Tuesday, November 1, 2011 we ran a fund raiser in conjunction with Mud City Crab House & David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation called Crabbin' for a Cure. No more then a month earlier, we met with David Caldarella, a stage four cancer survivor who runs his own 501(C)3 charitable organization, to put this event together. The support by local business sponsors was simply through the roof by means of financial donations as well as product/gift donations for our auction. The event encompassed two seatings at 5:30 & 8:00pm, a full crab cake dinner and an auction full of great goodies in between! When all was said and done, our community came together to raise nearly $17K in one night! The money benefits David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation who, in turn, donates it to local cancer survivors in need! We could not be more stoked on the way this event went down and it's sure to be an annual fund raiser that we will look forward to for years to come!
