"Pelota" by Khruangbin

The Houston-based trio Khruangbin released Mordechai earlier this Summer.  The Spanish-sung Pelota has a great vibe and the accompanying animated video gives you a little insight on what the song is about.  As they say on the hook, Right Now I Can Be the Ball...enjoy!   Read More...

"You Already Know" by Cold War Kids

The Cold War Kids have accomplished so much in the last 15+ years, but their trilogy, which New Age Norms 2 is smack in the middle of, is something epic!  Last year they released New Age Norms and we're betting that 2021 will bring the final album in the series (#3).  All of the albums contain (8) tracks.  You Already Know (Track #3) keeps the storytelling vivid and continues where Who's Gonna Love Me Now (Track #1) left off.  These are the only two tracks currently out off of the new album, but you'll be able to fill in the rest on... "No Skips" by Oddisee feat. Ralph Real

Plenty of musicians could write and produce an entire album during a 2-week quarantine, but not with the quality of Odd Cure.  Oddisee had just returned from overseas to his Brooklyn studio before being locked down, and he obviously used the time wisely with his usual sharp lyrics and live instrumentation which was recorded remotely by his band members.  Check out No Skips, one of six great new songs from Amir Mohamed el Khalifa, all of which are cleverly meshed with skits of real phone calls to friends and family during the early parts of quarantine. "Good Shit Happens" by Michael Franti & Spearhead

This week we're sharing the good vibes of Michael Franti & Spearhead!  The new album title, Work Hard & Be Nice, says it all as that is sort of what we all need to do during these divided times.  Hey, bad shit happens, but good shit happens too, so let's focus on the latter and be better humans! "Time Moves On" by Phantom Planet

Phantom Planet is back after a fairly long hiatus!  Twelve years since their last full release, the quartet led by frontman Alex Greenwald haven't missed a beat.  Greenwald wrote Time Moves On to get past his own tough personal moment, and given the current state of affairs, most of us can probably use a song like this right now to push us toward a better time.  The full album, Devastator, is out now!   Read More...

"Zen" by X Ambassadors, K. Flay & grandson

Some collaborations are over-hyped, but Zen is probably the best one we've heard out of quarantine!  X Ambassadors, K. Flay and grandson have united to perfectly articulate what is on most of our minds during this COVID-19 crisis!  We've said it before, but one of the positives to come from this debacle is a ton of excellent, new music - GIVE ME F*?&NG ZEN! "3 on E" by Vulfpeck feat. Antwaun Stanley

If you like jam bands and good 'ole fashioned funk, then you'll be into Vulfpeck's latest release.  The Joy of Music. The Job of Real Estate only includes three songs, but keeps the boys busy as they have released new music in every year since 2011.  The vid for 3 on E features lyrics by frequent touring partner Antwaun Stanley ~ enjoy!    Read More...

"ALIVE" by Hanni El Khatib

Hanni El Khatib has a pretty rad DYOL-centric story.  He grew up skating in San Francisco and seems to share a lot of the same influences that we do here at Jetty.  He was a creative director at HUF, but once the world got ears on his music he rerouted to building a catalog of great vibes.  That route included heavy touring and four albums which led to him being creatively spent.  After getting sober, surviving a heavy car accident and re-exploring his roots with some clear Hip Hop influence, he's released a new album FLIGHT! "World On Fire" by The Bouncing Souls

The Bouncing Souls were in the studio on the front end of the COVID-19 pandemic.  World On Fire was born during this time of great uncertainty, but as they suggest, it's a song about keeping the light in sight.  Let's stay positive! Read More...

"Portland" by Rat Kid Cool

There's not a ton of info out there on Ciaran O'Donnell, former touring member of The Front Bottoms, but he just dropped some new music and we love it!  Check out Portland, one of two new songs aptly named for the The Pine Tree State where it seems like O'Donnell is spending his time.  This one is a Summer anthem for us - where will your dance floor be at?!   Read More...

"Hero" by Weezer

Weezer isn't short on anthems, but they decided to add another one to their certifiable list last week with Hero.  Despite the new album Van Weezer being moved back, the band has released two tracks as well as making an appearance on The Simpsons this past weekend.  We can all share in this one which pays homage to the essential workers - hang on until the end of the video which includes a written thank you from Rivers Cuomo.       Read More...

"The Joke Was on Me" by Ezra Bell

One of the many reasons that we were bummed to cancel HopSauce Festival this year - Ezra Bell coming all the way from Portland (OR) to headline!  Let's get back to being positive though, they released an album just last month so there are nine unique and equally awesome new tracks to vibe to.  Be sure to check out This Way To Oblivion! "Future Peg" by Man Man

Man Man has had a long cast of members, but the experimental band has always revolved around Ryan Kattner and his piano.  Honus Honus (Kattner's stage name) comes back on May 1 with Dream Hunting in the Valley of the In-Between, Man Man's first proper released since 2013's On Oni Pond.  Check out Future Peg as we look forward to the rest of what is sure to be a super creative album! "Karen" by Surfer Blood

Surfer Blood is a band that we have always followed since their classic debut Astro Coast back in 2010.  We enjoyed their Covers album last year, but are really excited for some brand new music.  We missed them by a day passing through DE last Summer at Dogfish Head, and we even considered them for our now (unfortunately) cancelled 7th Annual HopSauce Festival.  Check out Karen from Carefree Theatre dropping next month!   Read More...

"Texas Sun" by Khruangbin & Leon Bridges

After touring together in 2018, Khruangbin and Leon Bridges, respectively from Houston and Fort Worth, have teamed up for a 4 song EP called Texas Sun.  The worldly influences of Khruangbin match rather perfectly with Bridges' throwback, soulful sound.  This is music to chill and reflect to... "Tidal Wave" by Butcher Brown

We had been checking out Butcher Brown for a while, but with many of our events postponed for the first half of 2020, we'll have to settle for a Music Monday!  If you're a Hip Hop fan, then you undoubtedly know and love Black Moon's Who Got The Props, but you may not have known that the song uses a Ronnie Laws jazz sample.  Put the two songs together and you have a beautiful blend and Butcher Brown's new single, Tidal Wave.  We hope to get these guys on stage at one of our future events!   Read More...

"Deleter" by Grouplove

The historic social and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic call for a little Grouplove!  In a time when we have to keep our distance from one another, and cannot attend our favorite shows with every musical tour in the world postponed, we can still listen and learn.  Healer is the 4th album from Grouplove, who always seem to bring positive vibes, even to negative topics and times! "We Have To Move On" by Inhaler

You can say that Elijah Hewson has a bit of a head start being Bono's son, but Inhaler has already proved to be a breakout band from Dublin.  Yet to drop a full-length, but being streamed like crazy and touring worldwide, you can bet that they will be around for a while!  Check out their latest single We Have To Move On...       Read More...

"Cars In Space" by Rolling Blackouts C.F.

Today we're featuring a new single by Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever!  The guitar-driven band has been on the move since releasing their debut full-length in 2018, but lucky for us has found some time to make new music as well.  Enjoy Cars In Space, another great tune from the Land Down Under!    Read More...

"Dance Of The Clairvoyants" by Pearl Jam

It was July of 2013 when we last featured Pearl Jam's Mind Your Manners, now they're back with 12 new tracks!  The legendary group will kick off a North American Tour this March which wraps up in April before they hit Europe during Summer.  So far Dance Of The Clairvoyants is the first single to be released from the upcoming Gigaton and by the sound of it we're on the edge of our seats anxious to hear the rest of the album!
