Our Oyster Recycling Program has been cranking for a few weeks now, and it feels great to know that we are a part of an environmental movement in the LBI Region! This is just the beginning, and just one of the things that we can all do to keep our bay healthy by putting shell back into it. Check out FollowTheShell.com to see how you too can be a part of it! Thanks to Long Beach Township, Parsons Mariculture, Stockton University, and our partnering restaurants for making this initiative a reality! For some more insight on the Oyster Recycling Program, check out this article from The SandPaper, the official Press Release from Stockton University, and our info-graphic below! *Don't be fooled by the conch shells! Oyster spat can set on any hard surface and this initiative is in the very early stages. Parsons & Stockton are monitoring the results and we need all the shell (oyster, clam, etc.) that we can get!
