Peter George & Noah DeSimone hoisted the Clam Jam trophy yesterday at Beach One in Holgate. For a good number of years the Jam lacked a new crop of young guns, but they have now officially arrived. Led by Jetty Ambassador DeSimone, there is an undeniable stoke rising among this talented wave of surfers, and they're not just High-Schoolers. Carter Scott made his debut in the contest yesterday at the age of 12 years old. Looking around the beach was a true turning point for this event which will hit its 20th Annual mark next year. Anyone could observe the many veteran surfers making a day of it with their families posted up on the sand. Peter George has two little ones of his own, and his tenure dates all the way back to when he was a runner up in 2008. When the day wound down, the names consistently shouted out on the mic were all in the mix, and every one of them is nurturing the next generation both in and out of the water. Congrats to the runners up Dave Werner & Cullen Hood, and a huge thank you to all of the surfers, sponsors, volunteers, and Long Beach Township!
