We've said that the OBX are lighting up wave-wise on so many occasions, but this time it was in a much more literal sense. Today (Friday, 8/4/17) at noon, visitors will be allowed back on Hatteras & Ocracoke islands after an underground, main power cable was damaged during bridge construction -- the blackout forced thousands of visitors into a mandatory mass exodus. We're glad that the lights are back on, but keep in mind that our retailers lost a week of business during the heart of Summer. We know that our ambassadors in the area are holding it down, but please shop local and show support!
