At the start of 2024, we decided to recommit ourselves to what inspired the launch of Jetty over two decades ago. As many surf brands sell to international conglomerates, we remain surfer owned and operated, focused on core year-round surf with an East Coast perspective. Kelly is the most high-profile surfer from New Jersey, with a long list of competitive accolades matched only by his extremely dynamic freesurfing. "I was building a surf career around the same time Jetty started the brand; both of us trying to make an impact on the surf world from an unlikely place. I’ve been blessed to make a living around surfing the past 20-plus years and have watched Jetty grow to a respected global brand at the same time. One of the things I’m most proud of is creating a career in surfing without having to leave New Jersey. The surf community here has grown so much in the past two decades and that passionate support has given us both opportunity, while staying based locally. We have always shared a mutual respect". After 16 years with a legacy surf company, Kelly made the decision to become a Jetty Ambassador and grow the brand. Kelly has traveled the world over. His trademark is not only the ability to show up and paddle into a bomb, but the capacity to show respect, lift up those around him and be welcomed back the next time. Most recently he took the prestigious Garden State Grudge Match in 2022 and '23. He has become a hometown hero in Ocean City and has proven himself as a fantastic role model. "It just makes sense to team up and continue to make an impact in the surf world, while flying the East Coast flag to ensure the groms coming up know that you can come from New Jersey and do great things in the surf world,” added Kelly. We’re diving right into our relationship with Kelly, telling the stories of authentic surf from a part of the world where no one thinks you can make it, but everyone has your back.
