The Story of Jetty
It all started in 2003 with five friends on a strike mission to the mountains - inspiration and enthusiasm plus $200 a piece in a hat. It was created on a shared love of surf, fishing, art, travel, and music. We wanted to draw our own line – and it’s a good thing too, because coming from New Jersey, there was certainly no line to follow.
Now in our 20th year of business,Jetty continues to offer eco-minded, durable apparel that embodies the fickle conditions of northeast surf and encourages outdoor adventure despite the weather. As B-Corp Certified company, we prioritize reducing waste, creating premium products, and supporting coastal communities through our nonprofit, the Jetty Rock Foundation, which has donated millions of dollars to clean water initiatives and disaster relief efforts for over a decade. Supporting Jetty strengthens our commitment to protecting our oceans, waterways, and the communities that rely on them.
The Jetty Rock Foundation is the non-profit arm of the Jetty brand. This charitable organization was formed in June of 2013 as a direct result of Jetty’s massive Sandy Relief efforts. The approved 501(C)3 Charitable Organization allows the Jetty brand to continue to be a vehicle for fundraising by using its design, screen printing, and event prowess while providing a formidable channel to get direct aid to those in need.
In addition to private donations and grants, events are the major method the Jetty Rock Foundation uses to raise funds. We use the Jetty brand as a marketing vehicle to increase fan, sponsor, and volunteer participation, spread awareness, and keep expenses down. Combining our knack for event planning with some incredible partners, we’ve been able to raise significant amounts, all in a matter of hours! Learn more about our primary fundraising events.
We started Jetty Apparel Co. in 2003 to create a line of clothing that embodied our passions: surf, travel, fishing, art, and a love for adventure. Our story has always revolved around the water and the feeling that we get gliding over it, diving through it, and pulling fish from it. After every adventure with our crew, we still enjoy cracking a beer while toasting another epic experience. It all started with DIY screen printing to build a brand. Over twenty years later, our custom apparel division, Jetty Ink, still prints for the Jetty brand and countless other customers using our signature water based inks with an eco-conscious approach. Our expertise has been gained through years of hands-on experience learning our craft and gathering talented and passionate individuals that staff our operation. We are custom apparel experts that help our customers from design inspiration to delivery of premium custom goods.
