"Roachspray" by Paten Locke

Roachspray is taken from Dance on My Grave, the final posthumous solo opus from Jacksonville, FL based MC/Producer/DJ Paten Locke.  It’s a perfectly imperfect example of Paten’s lo-if and gritty aesthetic.

Those opening lyrics set the tone and succinctly relay Paten’s mantra, Don’t Monkey with the Funky.

Written, recorded, and produced by Paten Locke, AND he did the scratches of course. And notice how the song switches to an off-kilter instrumental loop out of nowhere.
