The Slater Day

(Above: Pat Parenty by Keith Forsythe) Well, so much for saying that October was a slow month for waves in Jersey as it ended with a phenomenal run including what will surely be dubbed The Slater Day.  The King surfed Monmouth County and took over Insta, but a ton of other frothing natives who look up to him got slabs as well!  Check out a few Jetty Ambassadors that found treats a day early on Mischief Night... Homers

(Above: Brian Bowker by John Gilman) While a good chunk of the Northeast surf contingent spent the weekend in Belmar at the PRO contest, a few of our Ambassadors scored right in their own backyards!  Check out Jetty crew members Brian Bowker and Tim Daley keeping things honest in Long Beach Island (NJ) and Brigantine (NJ) respectively! Some More Gert...

(Above) Pete Machotka (NJ) by Kyle Gronostajski Hurricane Gert was not the largest storm of the season, but it's path certainly provided for a slew of Jetty Ambassadors.  While Owen O'donnell, Pete Machotka, & Brian Bassett played on their home turf, Keaton Fortney was checking his big bro into Flagler College. Logan Hayes was also attempting his own eclipse down in Florida shortly after Gert made its way to the Northern Atlantic... Ambassador Paths

We had a couple of Jetty Ambassadors crossing paths last weekend and it is always fulfilling to watch our surfers succeed.  Jetty Captain Randy Townsend, also the NSSA Northeast Conference Director, saw our super-grom Owen O'donnell make it to the finals and place 5th in the Explorer Boys division of the East Coast Championships!  Meanwhile, Jetty Ambassador Dallas Tolson headed North from the Banks to find some Jersey tubes! A Stout Stella

As a crew of our good friends shipped off to Indo for a dream trip, Winter Storm Stella delivered a historic blow to the East Coast, and a day to remember, especially for Jersey surfers.  Here's an initial run of photos courtesy of our friends.  There aren't too many boards on these, but those shots will be sure too follow once everyone thaws out and settles down from the enormous amount of stoke (and some editing gets done)! Back to that Nor'easter

Last week's Nor'easter caused some serious damage, but surfers got over the wind, rain, and flooding quite easily.  Here are a few more Jersey slabs (before and after the storm) featuring Jetty Ambassadors Dave Werner, Pat Parenty, and Cooper Fortney.  You can also check out ESM's Nor'easter Swell Gallery for a nice look at how things lit up on the entire East Coast... Helena: Tube Sounds & Beat Downs

Winter Storm Helena produced some heavy waves in the Northeast, and plenty of tubes up and down the East Coast!  ESM's Swell Gallery showcases a bunch of Jetty affiliates, namely Ambassador Pat Parenty who was picking off countless lefts over a frigid, 4-hour session.  Photog Timmy Torchia isn't afraid to get into the water, but even shooting from the beach was a tough task on this sub-zero day.  Check out his article Winter Storm Helena Takes Over in New Jersey via The Inertia!     Read More...

Mid-week Goldies

Jetty Ambassador Dave Werner escaped his classroom and found enough daylight to get a session in this past week!  Even the smaller shacks are fun when it is north of 50 degrees in January in New Jersey.  Check out the pure beauty captured by photog Dan Pryzgocki!   Read More...

The Art of Balance

Balance is something that we have always stressed within our company.  We founded it based on working hard to facilitate opportunity, travel, and time to pursue the things that we love to do.  Jetty Ambassador Jamie Contreras seems to master the art both in and out of the water.  We hope that you find the perfect balance in your Jetty Life as we glide into the New Year! Sunday Funday Anticipation?

Jetty Captain Randy Townsend is looking forward to some cold tubes this weekend!  The anticipation of approaching swell encases such a large range of forecasts from weather buffs to those who will simply get up and check it.  We can't predict what Mother Ocean will bring us this weekend, but we can show you how our Ambassadors enjoyed her gifts last weekend!  Photos courtesy of Chris Pfeil & Jordan Lutes (Above: Randy Townsend; Below: Owen O'donnell).   Read More...

The Cold is Here...

Surfing in the cold is definitely not preferable, but there is a special feeling when you get a sick one in the full getup!  Last Wednesday was the first Winter-feeling swell in Jersey even though the season does not officially start until December 21st.  Jetty Ambassadors Sam Seeland & Dave Werner both felt great pulling off their hoods after the sun had set on 12/7/16 (Photo Credit: Dave Lospinoso // Video Credit: Ryan Similchik).
