The Life of Riley: Part IV

Above: Gaby enjoys a thinned out lineup due to the size (Photo: Bobby Bechtel) From the sub-sea level stuff that Jersey had going on, to the massive Caribbean, Winter Storm Riley wasn't just a one-time event as it produced a week of waves.  While plenty of schools and businesses closed on the East Coast, and PR still recovering from Hurricane Maria, Jetty Ambassadors  Gaby Canals and Sam Seeland had no complaints. The Life of Riley: Part II

Above: RT attacking on a ridiculously small stick by Jersey Mike After days and days of tubes, more content is surfacing from Winter Storm Riley.  Jetty Captain  Randy Townsend played host to plenty of pros, friends and anyone else who braved the flooding, drift and morphing, Army Corp of Engineers-assisted waves.  This was a stretch of waves that the boys will be talking about for a long time, and it is best captured by the world traveling Trevor Murphy... Snow Portals

Above: Owen O'donnell checking into a Jersey gem There is something special about that first seasonal surf, especially the sessions in the snow!  In colder regions like the Northeast, we all share that same chuckling response to the outsiders who proclaim, What do you mean you're going surfing?!  At the end of the day, getting tubed in freezing conditions certainly makes suiting up well worth it...!  A handful of seasonal joy by Sean Santiago Read More...

11th Annual Clam Jam review

Above: Preparing for the first heat by Shawn Casey  This was a funky year with a long wait during the Clam Jam window, but it finally went down on Sunday, November 19th!  A nearly full bracket of (93) LBI Region surfers competed all day in surf that ranged from 2-6 ft with strong offshore winds.  At the end of the day, Randy Townsend & Evan Zodl defeated Billy Webster & Conor Willem in a very close final.  Some of the best surfers rose to the top in challenging conditions while newcomers enjoyed their first time Jam experiences.  Check out the Press... Fish or Famine

(Above) Dave Werner snagging some doormats Summertime, and the livin' is easy...a fair assessment considering the seasonality of the Northeast.  Our Ambassadors in the region see it no differently as they soak up the sun, enjoy the warm water, get up a bit earlier, and get a little more done during these dog days.  Take a peek at what our crew has been up to, it's probably very similar to what you and your family have been enjoying!
