No Clam Jam Streak at 6...

We're not running out of time, this is just the way that the wait for Clam Jam-worthy surf on a weekend goes!  The Jam will not take place on 10/17 or 10/18 this weekend.  We still have a couple of weekends left in OCT, but note that if it does not go down this month, then we can exercise the option to have it on any day of the week (in November)... A 5th Postponement for the Jam

The 14th Annual Jetty Clam Jam will not run this weekend on 10/10 or 10/11.  We still have 3 weekends left in October (6 potential days), so we're hopeful that the waves and weather will cooperate!  In the meantime, enjoy your Holiday weekend! Ogre & J-Law hoist the Clam!

Above: New names on the trophy by Dan Przygocki After a Nor'easter blew through the coast, the 12th Annual Jetty Clam Jam finally went down on Sunday, October 28th!  The Jam was held at 68th Street in Brant Beach for the first time and naysayers were put to shame by 4-6ft+ hollow waves that pumped from dawn to dusk.  An epic final pitted Steve Carpitella & Josh Law against Jamie Whitesell & Jetty Ambassador Pete Machotka.  J-law instantly scratched through a front side barrel and landed a monstrous floater to open up the heat.  Machotka countered with a big back... International Vibes

Above: Jetty Ambassador Randy Townsend, ready for Summer by Kyle G. As I type this post, I'm overwhelmed with the thoughts of what Surfing has done for me and so many others worldwide.  The feeling that surfing brings to you, from your first time standing up to getting a sick one, is a somewhat indescribable joy!  On Saturday, June 16th we celebrate International Surfing Day, a nod to the sport, the lifestyle and all of the sustainability that comes with it.  We have a laundry list, but would love to know how surfing has inspired you to Draw Your Own... Some More Gert...

(Above) Pete Machotka (NJ) by Kyle Gronostajski Hurricane Gert was not the largest storm of the season, but it's path certainly provided for a slew of Jetty Ambassadors.  While Owen O'donnell, Pete Machotka, & Brian Bassett played on their home turf, Keaton Fortney was checking his big bro into Flagler College. Logan Hayes was also attempting his own eclipse down in Florida shortly after Gert made its way to the Northern Atlantic... RT x ESM x Kyle G

We just received our copies of ESM's June Issue #201 and spotted Jetty Captain Randy Townsend boosting on Page 31!  Kyle Gronostajski always seems to be in the right place, at the right time, and that's due to the fact that he is always game to throw the fins on (.  Kyle was recently out with us assisting with filming the final scene of The Oyster Farmers as well (sneak peak at the Lighthouse International Film Festival).   Read More...
