Straight from the Shed

The Fortney family is currently putting their hand-shaped Shed Surfboards to use in the Caribbean.  What's better then escaping the cold in some Jetty boardies except for doing so on a board that you shaped yourself?!  It's always good to see Cooper & Keaton going bowl for bowl! NSSA State Champs

We were busy getting shacked at the 12th Annual Jetty Clam Jam, but let's not forget about some great performances at the NSSA State Championships!  Jetty Ambassadors  Keaton Fortney & Morgan Iglay led the charge and took home the title in Longboard & Womens respectively!  It's also worth noting that Jetty Ink client Manasquan High School took home their 5th straight Northeast State title.  What a stellar day of waves we had in Jersey on October 28, 2018! On the beach @ The Belmar PRO

This year's Belmar PRO is upon us and we'll be posted up on the beach on Saturday (9/8) and Sunday (9/9).  Swing by our tents for some gear or to meet our Ambassadors!  Competing this year from our crew are Dallas Tolson (NC), Owen O'Donnell (NY), Pete Machotka (NJ), Keaton Fortney (NJ), Logan Hayes (FL), Pat Parenty (NJ) and Randy Townsend (NJ)!  We can't forget Morgan Iglay  who will be competing in the Womens  open as well.  The track of Hurricane Florence is currently uncertain, but it looks like we're going to get some wave action (fingers crossed for no landfall... Keaton's Podium Finish

Jetty Ambassador Keaton Fortney carried on the family tradition and brought home some hardware from the NSSA Nationals at Salt Creek.  His 3rd place Varsity Longboard finish added to his brother Cooper's 2015 results, both leading the Manasquan High School Surf Team across the country.  Yup, there's going to be a great, brotherly rivalry at home to see who can fill up the trophy case! Keaton leads 'Squan

Manasquan High School recently captured its 4th straight State Championship, largely in part due to the surfing of Jetty Ambassador Keaton Fortney.  Keaton captured 1st in the longboard division and also finished 3rd overall.  The team, with more support then ever before from the school district, will now prepare for another trip to California where they'll compete at Nationals.  Check out a few recent photos courtesy of Bruce Stanley...  Read More...

A Firm Irma + The Belmar Invitational

(Above: Dallas Tolson amping at the Belmar Invitational by D R Stockdale Photography) Almost everyone that we know has friends and family in the Caribbean & Southeastern US, so first and foremost, our hearts go out to everyone in Hurricane Irma's destructive path.  On the heels of our Houston Essentials Drive, and while we develop aid options for Irma, we're trying to stay positive.  Back in Jersey, we had a fun-filled weekend at the Belmar Invitational with a great crew of Jetty fam and Ambassadors! Some More Gert...

(Above) Pete Machotka (NJ) by Kyle Gronostajski Hurricane Gert was not the largest storm of the season, but it's path certainly provided for a slew of Jetty Ambassadors.  While Owen O'donnell, Pete Machotka, & Brian Bassett played on their home turf, Keaton Fortney was checking his big bro into Flagler College. Logan Hayes was also attempting his own eclipse down in Florida shortly after Gert made its way to the Northern Atlantic... Bajan Bros

Check out a little flashback featuring Jetty Ambassadors Cooper & Keaton Fortney.  These guys had a chance to enjoy the Caribbean this Winter and are likely saving up for their next trip!  Until then, they can bask in these blue water memories taken by Donna Fortney, but that doesn't mean they aren't on every swell back home in Jersey too!  Here's Cooper this past week through the lens of Alex Fatenko...     Read More...

Fortney Fam Abroad

The Fortney family is truly the best example of what The Jetty Life is all about!  Photos from their surf trips are what most people click through, but it is their weekly grind that puts them in the position to spend time abroad together.  They have a deep dedication to their community in Monmouth County, instilling in their sons (both Jetty ambassadors) that hard work can pay big dividends, this time in the form of warm waves while spending time in the Caribbean bonding! The Mentor

Following up our most recent post on Keaton Fortney, let's check in on his older brother and mentor, Cooper Fortney!  Coop has had his share of the contest limelight, from NSSA championships to local events, but it's his out of the water demeanor which most impresses us.  Here's a recent shot courtesy of Alex Fatenko as we absorb everything wonderful about the Fortney family! Little Brother Love

Jetty Team Rider Keaton Fortney may have been overshadowed at times by his older bro Cooper, but he can certainly thank him for the push!   The young gun is surfing at a high level nowadays as these flashbacks from September show!  The barrel shot comes courtesy of Jersey Mike while the cutbacks were shot by Anthony Lawson.
