Logan Hayes 2nd @ Belmar PRO

Congrats to Jetty Ambassador Logan Hayes who surfed his way to a 2nd place finish at the Belmar PRO last weekend!  Logan has made it a tradition to travel North from Florida for the Fall contest season, and the waves rarely disappoint!  We now move on through our own contest window with the 13th Annual Jetty Clam Jam paying close attention to Hurricane Humberto's movement for a potential go the weekend of September 21-22...stay tuned! Welcome Tom Petriken

Above: Courtesy of Hunter DeNicola We're stoked to officially announce Tom Petriken as a Jetty Ambassador!  Tom has been surfing since age 7, following in the footsteps of both of his parents who spent plenty of time in the Atlantic.  You may have seen his VW bus in Monmouth County, NJ (and beyond) which symbolizes the soul of a surfer who has grown beyond competition.  We can't wait to tell you more about Tom's story throughout 2019, welcome aboard!      Read More...

Owen, a dredge and Bunger

Jetty Ambassador  Owen O'donnell recently checked out how some moving sand affected one of many NY breaks that he frequents.  Looks like it's all good if the photos (courtesy of @Halupics) from this session are any indication.  Meanwhile, Owen's home shop, Bunger (Babylon, NY), is making room for our new Spring '19 products!    Read More...

Big Waves Will Inspire You

Yes, it was pumping in New York last weekend!  Jetty Ambassador Owen O'Donnell linked up with photog Josh Goetz and got his share of bombs and barrels.  These are the days when you drop everything to paddle, hope you don't get rejected and really are just in search of that one great wave...all the rest are a frothing bonus! NO Jammin'...12th Annual Clam Jam is POSTPONED!

Above: Randy Townsend by Tim Torchia Despite some sizable swell in the water, the 12th Annual Jetty Clam Jam will not run on October 6th or 7th this weekend.  We hold the Jam in high regard and the long period swell + unfavorable winds just isn't doing it for us.  We appreciate everyone (especially wives and girlfriends) juggling their plans and we know that plenty will still jump in this weekend in search of a little window.  If you are in the LBI Region, do join us for a new event, the Oyster Shellabration, which is a fundraiser for our Oyster... International Vibes

Above: Jetty Ambassador Randy Townsend, ready for Summer by Kyle G. As I type this post, I'm overwhelmed with the thoughts of what Surfing has done for me and so many others worldwide.  The feeling that surfing brings to you, from your first time standing up to getting a sick one, is a somewhat indescribable joy!  On Saturday, June 16th we celebrate International Surfing Day, a nod to the sport, the lifestyle and all of the sustainability that comes with it.  We have a laundry list, but would love to know how surfing has inspired you to Draw Your Own... The Pros of Giving Back

Jetty Captain  Logan Hayes had the opportunity to give back by taking Kyle Dinwiddie for a paddle recently!  Kyle has cerebral palsy and his wish was to surf with a pro.  Ron Jon Surf Shop, one of our fine retailers, helped to make this dream become a reality!  Great job guys! Wingate Makes Finals

Jetty Ambassador Ben Wingate cruised into the finals at the NSSA Regionals in New Smyrna Beach (FL) this past weekend!  You can check out all of the results here.  Ben surfed great against some stiff comp from fellow East Coast competitors.  Jetty Captain  Randy Townsend, who dedicates his time to coaching in Jersey, was also in town to help guide these young men ~ great stuff guys! Murphy x Townsend Goods

Photog Trevor Murphy travels around the world and puts himself in front of some of the best waves that Mother Ocean has to offer.  It's pretty nice for New Jersey to be a feather in his cap this Winter as swell after swell simply produced the goods.  Jetty Captain Randy Townsend is a common subject on the other side of Trevor's lens, and although they are in two different destinations at the moment, we're amping on this look back to Dirty Jersey...    Read More...

The Life of Riley: Part V

Yes, we're still sorting through a slew of photos from Winter Storm Riley!  This time around we're featuring Jetty Ambassador Pete Machotka who told us...I didn't remember most of them.  I got so slammed on every paddle and it was so much work that the whole day felt like one big beating!  We beg to differ Pete, these photos from your pops look like you were handing out the beatings! Thaw-out Sessions

After such a frigid Winter, Jetty Ambassador John Streit found some solace in a sesh on the OBX!  John & Evan Foster (behind the lens) enjoyed some small, but perfect rides and mellow vibes...doesn't look like it'll be that small on the East Coast over the next few days (fingers crossed as this Nor'easter bombs through)! The Bird Whisperer

Building on our last SEA-worthy post, we've come to find out about an amazing story involving Jetty Ambassador Dallas Tolson and a Razorbill bird.  Dallas was out surfing when photog Jenni Koontz realized that she was witnessing something that you don't see everyday.  Homeboy was actually holding the injured seabird, then sent it in on a wave to fellow ripper Brett Barley.  It's now in good hands with Lou Browning of the Hatteras Island Wildlife Rehabilitation.  You might see Dallas busting airs and getting tubed daily, but a combo humanitarian effort has us all pretty stoked! From the lens of Epic Shutter Photography... Read More...

The Ever So Stoked

Above: Logan Hayes slashing through the recent Locals Only contest A positive mental attitude is contagious and its rather easy to spread when you Draw Your Own Line.  Here are two of our ever so stoked Ambassadors, in completely different climates, one surfing a local contest, and the other just mini-boosting the day away...both emulating the good vibes of The Jetty Life! Off the top...

Above: photo courtesy of Susan Allen We've been living in the tube lately, but what about the feeling when you go off the top?!  Most surfers spend their entire surf lives trying to execute the perfect snap, and some ultra small % take it to the next level with a stylish aerial assault!  We'll use Ambassadors Brian Williams (above) and Logan Hayes (below) surfing as prime examples... My Snow Flow's Remarkable...

It's one thing to surf in the cold, and it's another level of commitment to surf in the cold while it's snowing (and windy)!  Check out a little flashback to Winter Storm Grayson with Jetty Ambassador Sean Santiago.  It is amazing how Mother nature can be so raw and beautiful at the same time.  If this doesn't make you want to pick up some new board shorts, we're not sure what will! The Sunshine State

As the Florida Pro wraps up at Sebastian Inlet, we just wanted to throw some props to our Ambassador Logan Hayes.  We know Logan was bummed to just barely miss advancing into Round 4, but he surfed great through the first three rounds and we're stoked to have him representing down South!  We'd also like to note the valiant effort by the Benstagrom  Ben Wingate who gave it his best against some stellar competition!  Hopefully, we'll run into these buys at Surf Expo this week!   Read More...

Frozen Sounds

Buxton locals are saying that they haven't seen the Sound side frozen out nearly a half mile since the 80's!  Our Ambassadors didn't let the conditions deter them from getting wet though.  Dallas Tolson nabbed a perfect tube (above) while Ryan Osmond braved the elements from behind the lens (hey, it takes two)!  Meanwhile, Ryan Leopold didn't shiver one bit while nailing this tricky sequence courtesy of Sarah Nascimento... A Long September...

(Above: Tim Daley by Connie Pyatt) The East Coast has been on fire this September, and yes, it's better then the last!  We can't say that we are totally used to checking the forecast and seeing weeks of waves, but we sure as heck don't mind it.  Check out some more gems from Jetty Ambassadors in the last couple of weeks... Streit by Brye

Jetty Ambassador John Streit reported his first fun Spring session just a few nights ago.  Streit usually hunts down waves further away from home, but this time he grabbed some fun ones right in his own backyard at VB's most infamous spot.  Photog Eric Brye jumped in and caught John doing his thing...
