EP's Dream Board Meeting

Equity Prime is one of our biggest supporters, in fact, they sponsored every event and initiative that we executed in 2019!  They recently went on the ultimate team-building mission to Slater's Wave Ranch, and well, they scored!  Jetty Captain Randy Townsend accompanied them along with photog Trevor Murphy, so we're sure there are plenty more memorable pics in the bank.  Here a few of the "rewards" for helping us make these recent donations via our Jetty Rock Foundation...thank you for the amazing support! $6,800 - 10th Annual Bridge Walk funds donated to (5) area schools $11,910 - Crabbin' for a Cause... Party with a Purpose

We certainly Party with a Purpose, and our last major event of the year, the LBT Oyster Shellabration was no exception!  The 2nd annual event featured 9 of the LBI Region's oyster farmers who shucked the day away, but also focused on educating the public.  The event benefits the Oyster Recycling Program, the first municipal-run initiative of its kind in New Jersey.  We're excited to elevate our contribution to coastal waters as we usher in 2020, and thanks to you we have considerable funds to keep the needle moving!   Read More...

Jr. Mates Reef Project

We are stoked to support a new project in our coastal waters, the BHCFA Jr. Mates Reef Project.  It turns out that a couple of artificial reefs in Southern Jersey haven't been shown any love since 2005.  With some young anglers leading the charge, this initiative aims to enhance the structures giving fish better shelter and feeding opportunities.  The Sea Shell Striped Bass Derby running this weekend will be donating to this cause and we've pledged $5,000 via our Jetty Rock Foundation! Looking Ahead of Dorian

Above: Jetty Captain Randy Townsend by Dan Przygocki We saw so many tubes from Dorian in what some are calling the best hurricane-based swell Long Beach Island (NJ) has seen in 10 years, but at what cost?  Amongst the rampant stoke from last Saturday, we're being asked by our fans what they can do to support the Bahamas.  We have a great list of current charitable initiatives (below), so if you are interested in helping our fellow Bahamians recover, then we are suggesting the following two avenues for donations.  Both W4W and Team Rubicon are trusted nonprofits with boots on... Coquina Jam raises $35K+

Last Sunday produced waist-to-chest high waves and an unbelievable atmosphere for our 11th Annual Jetty Coquina Jam sponsored by Hackensack Meridian Health - Southern Ocean Medical Center.  A record amount of people attended what some are calling Long Beach Island's largest surf contest ever.  Katie Imswiler & Mia Gallagher edged out Mary Tantillo & Brynn Gallagher in a final heat that featured a Jetty collaborator (IMSY), local business owner (Swell Colors) and sisters going head-to-head!  The most impressive part though, is that we raised over $35,000 which is already flowing over to David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation.  They will... Do-gooder Rewards

We just received a check from Jetty Ambassador  John Streit who helped execute a great hurricane relief effort for the Carolinas & Florida!  We've sent $10,000 South thus far thanks to humanitarian efforts just like this.  John recently reaped some rewards for his altruism in the water too ~ what a great example of how our crew replicates our vibe both in and out of the water!  Photography by John D. NO Jammin'...12th Annual Clam Jam is POSTPONED!

Above: Randy Townsend by Tim Torchia Despite some sizable swell in the water, the 12th Annual Jetty Clam Jam will not run on October 6th or 7th this weekend.  We hold the Jam in high regard and the long period swell + unfavorable winds just isn't doing it for us.  We appreciate everyone (especially wives and girlfriends) juggling their plans and we know that plenty will still jump in this weekend in search of a little window.  If you are in the LBI Region, do join us for a new event, the Oyster Shellabration, which is a fundraiser for our Oyster... Never Leave Me Blue

Jetty Ambassador Brian Williams recently linked up with Susan Allen to capture some natural beauty out on the water.  B-dubbs operates Badfish Fishing Charters throughout the warmer Jersey months and brings not only fishing knowledge, but also environmental concerns to his customers.  Check him out rocking the Marshender Moss flannel, 1 of the 30 items in our Hurricane Florence Collection.  We're donating $5 from the sale of each of these items toward our Unite + Rebuild: The Carolinas relief effort - Grab a flannel for the Fall and support our neighbors down South! Coquina Jam raises $15K+

This past Sunday turned out to be the perfect day to run our 10th Annual Jetty Coquina Jam!  A record crowd packed 68th Street in the Brant Beach section of Long Beach Township to watch (48) females ranging from ages 10 to 65 compete for the trophy.  Of course, we were there not only to celebrate female surfing, but to raise funds for female Cancer patients in need.  Thanks to all of your patronage, as well as regional business sponsorship, we just cut a check for $15,085.94 to David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation.  They will immediately turn those funds around... We can't believe that the Coquina Jam, slated for Sunday, July 29th, will be our 10th Annual!  This year, Hackensack Meridian Health - Southern Ocean Medical Center has stepped up in a huge way as the presenting sponsor.  Perhaps, things have finally come full circle for our all-female surf contest which raises funds for David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation... 1.  You sign up, sponsor or donate to the event 2.  We organize and set the stage for the ladies to perform 3.  All proceeds go to David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation (DDBCF) 4.  DDBCF assists local, female cancer... Oyster Recycling Program PSA: Part IV

Above: Stockton University students travel to the oyster reef to do research Did you know that donating $1 equates to the filtering of 1 million gallons of water per year?!  We did all of the math for you as presented in this 4th and final installment of our Oyster Recycling Program PSA!  At the end of the day, our initiative puts shell back into the Barnegat Bay.  The shell creates a potential birthplace for millions of new oysters.  As we continue to monitor the research lease, we hope to build more oyster reefs which will lead to great results like... Powering Through

Jetty Ambassador Gaby Canals has been leading the charge to get his home region in Puerto Rico back in order.  We know that rebuilding takes time, and are working to send more aid to the Caribbean.  The latest word from Gaby is the good news that their power is back on!  One of the many lessons that we learned after Sandy dealt with restoring a sense of normalcy, and as you can see, Mondongo Canals is certainly using surfing as a tool to do so!      Read More...

Osyter Recycling Program PSA: Part II

Above: One of the few local oyster farms reviving the oyster culture (Forty North)  Last week we released Part I of our Oyster Recycling Program PSA, and now we're ready to share more about The Amazing Oyster!  The LBI Region was once a hub for oyster farming for the entire East Coast, but now the industry is a shell of its former self.  This segment of our PSA introduces a fact that isn't as widely known as you might think, oysters filter water.  Oyster spat also need a shell or hard surface to set on, but our Barnegat Bay is... Oyster Recycling Program PSA: Part I

We're proud of all the charitable initiatives powered by Jetty, but the Oyster Recycling Program has us really excited!  The idea spawned from our support and sponsorship of The Oyster Farmers film.  In 2017, our Jetty Rock Foundation partnered with Long Beach Township, Stockton University, Parsons Mariculture, and several local restaurants on a grassroots initiative to put oysters back into the Barnegat Bay.  This pilot program quickly grew into a larger awareness campaign and we'd love for you to have a hand in it!  Check out Part I of our Oyster Recycling Program PSA and learn more at FollowTheShell.com. The Oyster Farmers

We're excited about our involvement with a film coming to fruition, The Oyster Farmers.  This documentary centers on coastal life in New Jersey, specifically the Barnegat Bay, and even more specifically, on the Eastern Oyster.  The cultural and economic impact of the oyster, its historical decimation, and its recent resurgence all make for an incredibly interesting story (and the dudes farming them are pretty cool too)!  We'll be helping to raise funds through our Jetty Rock Foundation to support this film and ultimately restore our beautiful waterways.  We'll keep you posted, but in the meantime check out this trailer by...
