Powering Through

Jetty Ambassador Gaby Canals has been leading the charge to get his home region in Puerto Rico back in order.  We know that rebuilding takes time, and are working to send more aid to the Caribbean.  The latest word from Gaby is the good news that their power is back on!  One of the many lessons that we learned after Sandy dealt with restoring a sense of normalcy, and as you can see, Mondongo Canals is certainly using surfing as a tool to do so!      Read More...

Gaby Canals: A Community Leader

Jetty Ambassador Gaby Canals has stepped up in his community to deliver aid to those in need after Hurricane Maria.  Make no mistake about it, Puerto Rico is devastated, but local heroes like Gaby speed up the recovery process.  He, his wife, and sister have been delivering food, fundraising, and keeping the kids busy (remember that school is still out).  This all comes from a man, who like most, has no source of income since the storm.  Gaby is a private chef, but the definitive stop to tourism has put helping others on the front burner.  If you would like...
