Looking Ahead of Dorian

Above: Jetty Captain Randy Townsend by Dan Przygocki We saw so many tubes from Dorian in what some are calling the best hurricane-based swell Long Beach Island (NJ) has seen in 10 years, but at what cost?  Amongst the rampant stoke from last Saturday, we're being asked by our fans what they can do to support the Bahamas.  We have a great list of current charitable initiatives (below), so if you are interested in helping our fellow Bahamians recover, then we are suggesting the following two avenues for donations.  Both W4W and Team Rubicon are trusted nonprofits with boots on... Coquina Jam raises $35K+

Last Sunday produced waist-to-chest high waves and an unbelievable atmosphere for our 11th Annual Jetty Coquina Jam sponsored by Hackensack Meridian Health - Southern Ocean Medical Center.  A record amount of people attended what some are calling Long Beach Island's largest surf contest ever.  Katie Imswiler & Mia Gallagher edged out Mary Tantillo & Brynn Gallagher in a final heat that featured a Jetty collaborator (IMSY), local business owner (Swell Colors) and sisters going head-to-head!  The most impressive part though, is that we raised over $35,000 which is already flowing over to David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation.  They will... Osyter Recycling Program PSA: Part II

Above: One of the few local oyster farms reviving the oyster culture (Forty North)  Last week we released Part I of our Oyster Recycling Program PSA, and now we're ready to share more about The Amazing Oyster!  The LBI Region was once a hub for oyster farming for the entire East Coast, but now the industry is a shell of its former self.  This segment of our PSA introduces a fact that isn't as widely known as you might think, oysters filter water.  Oyster spat also need a shell or hard surface to set on, but our Barnegat Bay is... 9th Annual Coquina Jam Wrap Up

The 9th Annual Jetty Coquina Jam went down in style last Sunday, July 30th!  North/Northeast winds produced some solid swell and challenging conditions for our 46 female competitors, but they proved to navigate it quite well.  After 7+ hours of a feel good day on the beach filled with food, music, apparel, and plenty more, DanaRose Brown & Morgan Iglay upset Jetty Ambassador Jamie DeWitt & Nicole King.  The beach was absolutely packed at 68th Street in Long Beach Township.  Fans, surfers, and event sponsors allowed us to raise and donate $9,261.41 to David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation --... 8th Annual Coquina Jam Review

The 8th Annual Coquina Jam went off in fun 3 ft+ conditions this past Saturday, August 6th!  Despite threatening T-storms, it never rained as 34 chicas battled through the bracket in our team-oriented, generational, and all-female surf event.  At the end of the day it was Corey DeStefano & Lauren Zodl outlasting Emma Krasowski & Meghan Curtin (you can check out the full bracket here).  Most importantly, thank you to the surfer participation, our sponsors, beach goers, and volunteers, we were able to raise $6,120.19, all of which has been donated to David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation.  DDBCF will...
