Clam Jam Delayed Again...

We're postponing the 14th Annual Jetty Clam Jam once again this weekend - it will not run on September 19th or 20th.  We hope you all scored some waves this past week, we were definitely out of the office quite a bit!  We will continue tracking the tropics while remembering that we love the waves that these storms produce, but they can also wreck homes, entire regions and lives. Clam Jam Postponed

We have the longest window in the history of the Clam Jam this year and were already faced with a very tough call for this weekend - the Jam is postponed and will not run on Saturday 9/12 or Sunday 9/13.  There will be some energy out there this weekend, so go grab some waves!  We're banking on better conditions with more favorable winds, hopefully in September, as storms line up to march our way. The Picks Are In!

The bracket has been solidified for the 14th Annual Jetty Clam Jam!  Solidified, but not finalized as we all know that there will be some alternate surfers to swap in when conflicts arise.  If you missed registration and are interested in being an alternate, then please send us an email (Anna@jettylife.com).  We're pumped to start watching the swell forecasts - please stay tuned into this Blog, our social media channels and the Clam Jam Website for the call as each weekend approaches!   Read More...

Welcome Mia Gallagher

Photo & video by Tony Coon Films // Words by Jon Coen Since day one, Jetty has been based on people. And nothing excites us more than seeing the family grow.  We are thrilled to welcome Ocean City, New Jersey’s Mia Gallagher as our newest Jetty Ambassador. We met Mia through the our Coquina Jam. Each of the last several years, she has made the trip up to LBI and brought beachgoers to their feet with her stylish waveriding.  She has won the last two Coquina Jams, in 2019 with Jetty friend and IMSY Swimwear collaborator Katie Imswiler, and in 2020... Boon Island Bucket List

Jetty Ambassador Chris Carragher and friends recently checked off a big bucket list paddle to Boon Island.  It took two hours to get out to the lighthouse, and judging by the amount of seals, the crew was pretty surprised to not see any sharks!  We were stoked to outfit these guys in gear for their quest!  These guys also just raised $6,200 for their local SPCA via their Paddle for the Pups event! 14th Annual Clam Jam

Our 14th Annual Clam Jam is set for Saturday, September 12th should the waves and weather cooperate!  This year will be a little different considering that we don't have the usual Fall conflicts with other events.  That means that any Saturday or Sunday after Labor Day is game on when we see "good" conditions.  If you're a past competitor, then you can register here.  We'll be selecting the random teams at our Back-to-School event on Thursday, September 3rd at Jetty HQ.  We're looking forward to another safe, fun surf event where the rules will stay in place from our recent... Coquina Jam raises $88,000!

Photos courtesy of Soult Studios Our 12th Annual Coquina Jam will always be remembered given the pandemic, but it has also set a new fundraising total of $88,000!  Our Jetty Rock Foundation (JRF) + David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation (DDBCF) will split those profits and immediately turn them into donations to Cancer patients in need.  We're elated to more then double the amount raised in 2019 with a huge shout out to the (64) surfers and our sponsors.  The beach crowd was courteous and respected the heightened rules, the waves were great, the weather was warm and the positive vibes... The Lucky Hat

A couple of our staff escaped to Northern VT last weekend to test the bite.  The storied Cranchor Strapback struck again and put Jerm on the board with a few different types of fish, but Jay nailed the best catch on the last night, just before dark, with a nice Bass!  The #LakeLife was a nice change of pace...time to plan another trip!   Read More...

Stay Covered Up

Staying covered up will be key to easing back toward normal social conditions.  While we're working on restocking our gaiters, our Ambassadors have been keeping busy underwater and on top of it.  Ryan Leopold (rocking the Apex L/S Solar &  Mary Lee Snapback) wasn't within 20' of another diver while spearing Blackfish and Pete Machotka didn't come close to running anyone over in that backside sneaker! Mad Props for Isolation

Jetty Ambassador Logan Hayes was isolating down in Texas recently where he landed a bucket list fish on a home-tied fly!  During round #1 he's rocking the Helmet Tee (above), one of our inside-out prints, and keeping the sun off of his face with our classic Otis Snapback (above).  For round #2 he's switched it up to our Beer Spear Tee and Carbon Snapback!  Mad props for getting outside, but staying isolated! The Rare Air About Us

We surfers have a certain air about us, rarely stopping at any iteration of a Beaches Closed sign.  Mother Ocean is often at her best during times of despair, and certainly in the wake of natural disasters.  The COVID-19 pandemic is a bit different though.  Beaches are closing to prevent gatherings, but paddling out seems like the best option during these times.  Here is Jetty Ambassador Gabriel Canals before Puerto Rico announced that nobody should leave their house.  #GetOutside #DYOL #DrawYourOwnLine #TheJettyLife   Read More...
