See A Spray, Send A Spray

Above: Ryan Leopold by Rick Leopold There are a lot of challenges out there keeping us active during the quarantine!  The #SeeASpraySendASpray has everyone stoked, plus it is fun to dig through old surf photos if you don't have a freshie.  Here are a few Jetty Ambassadors throwing serious spray just in the last week or so... The Rare Air About Us

We surfers have a certain air about us, rarely stopping at any iteration of a Beaches Closed sign.  Mother Ocean is often at her best during times of despair, and certainly in the wake of natural disasters.  The COVID-19 pandemic is a bit different though.  Beaches are closing to prevent gatherings, but paddling out seems like the best option during these times.  Here is Jetty Ambassador Gabriel Canals before Puerto Rico announced that nobody should leave their house.  #GetOutside #DYOL #DrawYourOwnLine #TheJettyLife   Read More...

Welcome Back Machotka!

Pete Machotka is once of the longest standing Jetty Ambassadors.  For a short time he explored some other sponsorship options, but we are happy to say that he has landed back with us!  If you weren't watching the Cold War on Long Beach Island this weekend, then you were probably out there - it was going off!  Here's a few photos from Pete's session... Welcome Kyle Jouras!

We're stoked to introduce our newest Jetty Ambassador, Kyle Jouras!  Kyle's crafts include ceramic art, surfing, DJing and skateboarding.  We're excited to share, as he puts it, "these pathways in which I share my creative energy with my community and those around me"!    Read More...

The Bounty

Something often missed is the interaction between our Ambassadors.  This past Winter we captured too many familiar faces hunting waves up and down the East Coast.  Check out The Bounty, an ode to our roots in the crazy, fun, ever-changing landscape of the industry that gave us our start back in 2003.  Draw Your Own Line! Captain Sunday

Above: Courtesy of Dan Przygocki Jetty Captain Randy Townsend says that Sundays have been the day for surf this January.  You can see from both land and sea that last Sunday blessed NJ with quality waves.  Let's hope for another great day on the last one of the month this weekend! Leopold Unscathed

The OBX saw a few consistent days of South swell last week, but unfortunately the conditions were also quite sharky.  There were multiple sightings and (3) known attacks on Monday alone.  Lucky for our Ambassador Ryan Leopold, he only got bumped once and was more focused on finding tubes as opposed to men in grey suits... SEAson's Greetings

We're stoked to bring Jetty to more coasts in 2020, meet new people and spread the good vibes together!  We have some big plans including our new mobile store as well as a few new events.  We're dropping a new beer, and of course two new apparel lines that are just incredible!  We'll continue to draw inspiration from the water, and we hope you do too - Draw Your Own Line! 'Tis the SEAson

As 2019 winds down we know that so many of our water-based products will end up in good hands!  Our most recent product is the Buoy Dry Bag, perfect for any trip whether it is just a boat ride or an extended time on the water.  For the cruel weather, check out our Clam Shell Jackets which are waterproof (5000mm rating).  Adventurers will also enjoy our Jetty x Toadfish Shucker knife, Marine Cooler and Craft Cooler!     Read More...

Back Bay Gaiters

Today you hear a lot about Influencers, but Dave Werner was a Team Rider well before social media, and has always been one of our top Ambassadors!  On a recent trip to the Caribbean, far off the beaten path, Werner's name came up and he was the connection ~ this was 1,600+ miles away from where he helped spread the Jetty vibes in the early 2000's.  Today, Dave is still a man of the water and communicating our brand through his coastal activity.  In this case, he's rocking our neck gaiter and slaying slobs in the back bay.  Cheers to making... JTY x Toadfish is here!

Party with a Purpose

We certainly Party with a Purpose, and our last major event of the year, the LBT Oyster Shellabration was no exception!  The 2nd annual event featured 9 of the LBI Region's oyster farmers who shucked the day away, but also focused on educating the public.  The event benefits the Oyster Recycling Program, the first municipal-run initiative of its kind in New Jersey.  We're excited to elevate our contribution to coastal waters as we usher in 2020, and thanks to you we have considerable funds to keep the needle moving!   Read More...

Jr. Mates Reef Project

We are stoked to support a new project in our coastal waters, the BHCFA Jr. Mates Reef Project.  It turns out that a couple of artificial reefs in Southern Jersey haven't been shown any love since 2005.  With some young anglers leading the charge, this initiative aims to enhance the structures giving fish better shelter and feeding opportunities.  The Sea Shell Striped Bass Derby running this weekend will be donating to this cause and we've pledged $5,000 via our Jetty Rock Foundation! R&R

In this case, R&R can have several meanings as Ambassador Ben Raimo recently visited his rock (family) on the North Shore.  The celebration of a new baby girl also resulted in some Rocky Rights for Ben!  SoCal can go through lulls too, so we are sure that this trip was refreshing!   Read More...

Deep Beneath the Block

Check out a flashback to our trip to Rhode Island which has become a definite block on the calendar year after year!  From some deep dives and spear fishing, to the spoils and Jetty Sessions above, we're always stoked to toast after a day on the water.  Get layered up for your travels with plenty of choices from our fresh Fall Men's & Women's collections! Panetta & Hans hoist the Clam!

The 13th Annual Jetty Clam Jam went down, for the first time, in the month of September!  Underdogs Tanner Panetta & Tab Hans took down Billy Webster & Tim Raimo in the finals, surfing through some really tough, changing conditions.  An 80-degree beach day saw a huge crowd and outweighed the less favorable conditions, but all agreed that the surf was plenty contestable.  The more important part of the day was the charitable element with our community support of surfer Pat Harrington who is battling through Chemo and fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Pat has surfed in nearly all of the Jams, but... Read More...

Clam Jam is ON for September 21, 2019!

Who will hoist the clam this year?!  We'll find out by dark tomorrow as the 2019 13th Annual Jetty Clam Jam is ON!  A fading Humberto swell and an 80 degree beach day are looking to make 68th Street in Brant Beach pretty special tomorrow!  Surfers, please check in no later then 7am as the first heat of a long, 9-hour day will be in the water by 8am.  We're looking forward to seeing the LBI Region surf community out in full force tomorrow ~ see you there!   Read More...

Logan Hayes 2nd @ Belmar PRO

Congrats to Jetty Ambassador Logan Hayes who surfed his way to a 2nd place finish at the Belmar PRO last weekend!  Logan has made it a tradition to travel North from Florida for the Fall contest season, and the waves rarely disappoint!  We now move on through our own contest window with the 13th Annual Jetty Clam Jam paying close attention to Hurricane Humberto's movement for a potential go the weekend of September 21-22...stay tuned! Coquina Highlights & $37,157 raised!

It's only been a little over a month, but in a sense, Summer has come and gone!  We're not ready to let it go though, especially with Local's Summer upon us, as well as highlight moments like our 11th Annual Coquina Jam to think back on!  Check out this video edited by Oak Leaf Media as well as our official press release ~ thank you all for helping us raise a record amount for this event! 13th Annual Clam Jam

Wow, we can't believe that we've been running our annual Clam Jam surf contest for 13 years now!  This year, we're opening up another September weekend (2 total) with 4 potential early Fall days to run the event.  We're also dedicating this one to our main man Pat Harrington who is battling through Hodgkin's Lymphoma and some nasty chemo treatments that are going to keep him out of the water for a while.  Registration is now open, and we're seeking sponsorships as well.  Check out all of the details at JettyClamJam.com! The first (96) surfers to register will have their... Read More...
