Logan Hayes 2nd @ Belmar PRO

Congrats to Jetty Ambassador Logan Hayes who surfed his way to a 2nd place finish at the Belmar PRO last weekend!  Logan has made it a tradition to travel North from Florida for the Fall contest season, and the waves rarely disappoint!  We now move on through our own contest window with the 13th Annual Jetty Clam Jam paying close attention to Hurricane Humberto's movement for a potential go the weekend of September 21-22...stay tuned! Coquina Highlights & $37,157 raised!

It's only been a little over a month, but in a sense, Summer has come and gone!  We're not ready to let it go though, especially with Local's Summer upon us, as well as highlight moments like our 11th Annual Coquina Jam to think back on!  Check out this video edited by Oak Leaf Media as well as our official press release ~ thank you all for helping us raise a record amount for this event! Water Based Bros

If you've printed with Jetty Ink, or plan to soon, then chances are you know or will meet two of our outstanding staffers, Bill McLennan & Dan Przygocki!  The fact is that these guys surf more than most, and find the flexibility to do so before, during and after work at our Eco-friendly HQ in Manahawkin, NJ.  Photog Michael Bruno caught these guys clowning around at the 2019 ALO Longboard Classic, one of the great East Coast surf contests put on by our equally conscious friends!  Cheers to making work fun, and clearing the mind with a paddle!  #OutThere Read More...

Marching into Spring

Above: Ambassador Dave Werner by Matt Reitinger  This Winter certainly wasn't a Top 10-type of season in the Northeast, but on the bright side Spring is here!  New Jersey isn't quite known for swells this time of year, but at least we can spend more time outside and enjoy some more sunlight.  And hey, you never know when an epic session is upon us.  Here's a quick look back at a couple of days in March that didn't disappoint! The telling side of the story...

Above: Courtesy of Susan Allen Jetty Ambassador Brian Williams puts his time in on both sides with equal appreciation for the ocean and the back bays.  We've had some blustery conditions as of late which definitely makes you yearn for those warmer Fall sessions (see above: when you can really feel your board beneath your feet).  On the other side, we'll let Brian's words describe the tranquility at hand: "out of frame is a bald Eagle perched on the top of a tree watching over the marsh, as an owl begins hooting off in the distance in anticipation of another nights hunt". ... Owen, a dredge and Bunger

Jetty Ambassador  Owen O'donnell recently checked out how some moving sand affected one of many NY breaks that he frequents.  Looks like it's all good if the photos (courtesy of @Halupics) from this session are any indication.  Meanwhile, Owen's home shop, Bunger (Babylon, NY), is making room for our new Spring '19 products!    Read More...

Dan P. is Out There!

It is a pleasure to have the multi-talented Dan Przygocki in our HQ on a weekly basis!  Dan works production for Jetty Ink, but when the waves turn up, then we turn him loose.  This past week proved to produce some very pretty photos from the lens of a guy who is not afraid to get out there in the middle of Winter! A Few More Boards...

Above: Randy Townsend by Trevor Murphy Okay, one more flashback to first heavy swell of the cold season on the East Coast!  As Surfline's Slam Dunk Swell feature states, this wasn't the biggest swell, but it was pretty mean, and our Ambassadors definitely logged some for the memory bank.  Did you paddle?  Get slammed?  Break a board?  We've heard it all...on to the next (colder; bigger) one...! Avery and A Few More

Above: Dennis O'Connor by Tim Torchia Winter Storm Avery left the Northeast surf contingent frothing, and the content has been heavy ever since.  As blue collar aficionados, we tend to have multiple passions (options), but when the waves are punting, then we usually drop everything and paddle!  Our Ambassadors got rubber'd up and hit the Atlantic with their best these past couple of swells... Next on Pfeil

The ocean in the Northeast is starting to get that angry look.  We hunker down, but continuously check the waves, waiting for the wind to switch after a big blow.  Here we have longtime Jetty Ambassador Dave Werner pulling into a throaty one on his backside courtesy of Chris Pfeil...and finishing with a solid turn off the top! Amped As Ever

Above: Courtesy of Shawn Casey Longtime Jetty Ambassador  Pete Machotka isn't letting his foot off of the pedal anytime soon!  A runner-up at the 12th Annual Jetty Clam Jam put more eyes on Pete's explosive surfing, and his dedication (surfing, family & community) seems to only be getting stronger.  Check out a few recent photos of Machotka both in the Jam and free surfing his heart out... NSSA State Champs

We were busy getting shacked at the 12th Annual Jetty Clam Jam, but let's not forget about some great performances at the NSSA State Championships!  Jetty Ambassadors  Keaton Fortney & Morgan Iglay led the charge and took home the title in Longboard & Womens respectively!  It's also worth noting that Jetty Ink client Manasquan High School took home their 5th straight Northeast State title.  What a stellar day of waves we had in Jersey on October 28, 2018! Ogre & J-Law hoist the Clam!

Above: New names on the trophy by Dan Przygocki After a Nor'easter blew through the coast, the 12th Annual Jetty Clam Jam finally went down on Sunday, October 28th!  The Jam was held at 68th Street in Brant Beach for the first time and naysayers were put to shame by 4-6ft+ hollow waves that pumped from dawn to dusk.  An epic final pitted Steve Carpitella & Josh Law against Jamie Whitesell & Jetty Ambassador Pete Machotka.  J-law instantly scratched through a front side barrel and landed a monstrous floater to open up the heat.  Machotka countered with a big back... Sam Seeland Toobs

Above: Sam Seeland by Alex Thompson Jetty Ambassador Sam Seeland spends a fair amount of time in the green room.  Lucky for him, he's got some friends that have just as much fun ditching their boards and dodging him with a lens in their hands!  Enjoy this montage of toobs edited by our own Anthony Hediger with video work from Dave Nilsen, Joe Guagliardo and Alex Thompson...Draw Your Own Line!   Read More...

Staff Stoke

Above: Anthony Hediger by Alex Thompson We're stoked that our staff scored a bunch of waves this past Friday!  If you've stopped through our HQ, printed with Jetty Ink and/or have been to one of our events, then chances are you've chatted with Anthony Hediger, our Flagship Store manager.  Ant handles a ton of stuff for us and is one of our main dudes!  Dan Przygocki, from our Jetty Ink production crew, also got out there.  Let's set the record straight with pronouncing his last name...SHUH-GUS-KEY!  In other tubes, we have Brian Aji (our '18 Summer Urchin/Intern) and Sean Santiago (contract videographer)! ... NO Jammin'...12th Annual Clam Jam is POSTPONED!

Above: Randy Townsend by Tim Torchia Despite some sizable swell in the water, the 12th Annual Jetty Clam Jam will not run on October 6th or 7th this weekend.  We hold the Jam in high regard and the long period swell + unfavorable winds just isn't doing it for us.  We appreciate everyone (especially wives and girlfriends) juggling their plans and we know that plenty will still jump in this weekend in search of a little window.  If you are in the LBI Region, do join us for a new event, the Oyster Shellabration, which is a fundraiser for our Oyster... Central Jersey Stoke

Chris Hits the Banks
