7th Annual Clam Jam

For one of the worst Fall surf seasons in recent memory, the Clam Jam proved to be a contest of integrity. After being postponed for three straight weekends, a South wind swell held true for a week+ and produced more then contestable 2-4ft surf. The Taylor Avenue beach was packed as families & friends enjoyed cold clams, pizza, 65 degree weather and a great display of surfing! The story lines of the day were that of favorites going down and youngsters rising to the occasion. Erik Jurgensen carved to the shore break in the final and his partner Tanner Pannetta came out of a nice barrel, but it wasn't enough to take out Tim Raimo (who had the barrel of the day in the final) and his older counterpart Matt Fredrickson. Congrats to the champs, runners up, volunteers, judges, business sponsors and everyone who participated in another wonderful community event!
