"Heat Above" by Greta Van Fleet

Greta Van Fleet bring some massive soundscapes to the table on their new album The Battle at Garden's Gate.  The pandemic pushed them around a bit from recording in several spots throughout LA to eventually settling in the more fitting Nashville.  Veteran producer Greg Kurstin and the band's intent to make a record that was fit to be the score of a fantastic film are heard loud and clear, especially on Heat Above, the opening track of the album.  Enjoy!   Read More...

"Medicine At Midnight" by Foo Fighters

Nobody can really argue with the 25+ year consistency of the Foo Fighters.  Here we're featuring the title track of their 10th studio album Medicine At Midnight.  Interestingly, this album was wrapped up before the pandemic.  We're digging the beat on this one which has been described as having a David Bowie disco influence.  Enjoy! "Threat Level Midnight" by The Network

The Network just performed Threat Level Midnight on The Tonight Show with their first new album out in 17 years!  Is The Network really just a secret side project of Green Day?  We don't know, and we're sick of reading conflicting opinions, but we do love the music as well as the song title tribute to The Office!  Uncertainty is a fit for these times that we're living in, so just turn up the volume and let it go!    Read More...

"Don't Let Me Catch You" by Dentist

It seems like yesterday when we checked out Dentist live at the House of Independents.  Damn, that was April of 2019, a glorious time before we were blindsided with a world deprived of events and live music.  This Jersey trio has been in the studio though and will be releasing an album this year!  Check out their new single Don't Let Me Catch You which is fun and upbeat, but with a bit of a warning too!   Read More...

"The Overthrow" by Will Hoge

Will Hoge released his 11th studio album this past June, Tiny Little Movies.  We sure are glad that Hoge made a full recovery from his 2008 motorcycle accident.  Tiny Little Movies has a little bit of slow and a little bit of fast, but we're featuring the latter in The Overthrow.  Decode the lyrics as you wish, but let's just all agree that we have to be good to one another (and the environment) as a permanent step toward making our world beautiful.    Read More...

"Dirty" by grandson

We featured grandson back in June on the collaborative effort that was Zen.  After a few EP's, Jordan Benjamin's Death of an Optimist full-length came to us last month via Fueled By Ramen.  Benjamin's honest lyrics and straight forward approach to discussing current events is on point throughout.  To answer his question in Dirty, we're not afraid!  From design to screen printing to everyday business, we love getting our hands dirty - we have enough love in our hearts!
