"Earthquake Weather" by Dirty Heads

The Dirty Heads just released another single leading up to their next release California Island (March '21).  Earthquake Weather is another masterful mixture of Hip-Hop, Reggae and Rock.  After releasing Bum Bum earlier, we now have two solid tracks that have us looking forward to their 8th studio album early next year! "Dan n' Shaniqua" by Matt Mays

Matt Mays just dropped Dog City, an entire album written from the perspective of a rescue dog!  What a cool concept, and the album also came together during isolation via Mays' own home studio as well as contributions from other band mates.  Check out the first single Dan n' Shaniqua!     Read More...

"Heat Waves" by Glass Animals

Dreamland, the third album from Glass Animals, dropped earlier this month.  Drummer Joe Seaward has made an amazing and full recovery from a horrific cycling accident and the foursome is once again fully intact.  This album gets more personal as lead singer, songwriter, and producer Dave Bayley went back on his original thinking that songs about the band itself would be selfish.  Dive into Heat Waves and enjoy the dog days of summer! "World On Fire" by The Bouncing Souls

The Bouncing Souls were in the studio on the front end of the COVID-19 pandemic.  World On Fire was born during this time of great uncertainty, but as they suggest, it's a song about keeping the light in sight.  Let's stay positive! Read More...

"Future Peg" by Man Man

Man Man has had a long cast of members, but the experimental band has always revolved around Ryan Kattner and his piano.  Honus Honus (Kattner's stage name) comes back on May 1 with Dream Hunting in the Valley of the In-Between, Man Man's first proper released since 2013's On Oni Pond.  Check out Future Peg as we look forward to the rest of what is sure to be a super creative album! "Deep Dream" by STRFKR

Portland (OR) based STRFKR are back with a new full-length album, Future Past Life.  The video for the single Deep Dream offers a cinematic approach as well as a snowy wilderness that can't help, but reinforce the word quarantine.  Starfucker's origin revolves around a lot of celebrity and industry BS that they never wanted to be a part of, something for us all to think about as we throw around the phrase getting back to normal (after COVID-19)...  Read More...

"Tidal Wave" by Butcher Brown

We had been checking out Butcher Brown for a while, but with many of our events postponed for the first half of 2020, we'll have to settle for a Music Monday!  If you're a Hip Hop fan, then you undoubtedly know and love Black Moon's Who Got The Props, but you may not have known that the song uses a Ronnie Laws jazz sample.  Put the two songs together and you have a beautiful blend and Butcher Brown's new single, Tidal Wave.  We hope to get these guys on stage at one of our future events!   Read More...

"Mr. Al" by SUO

Saara Untract-Oakner has been making music and traveling the world for years, even stopping by some Jetty events along the way.  After a successful run with BOYTOY, she recently debuted a solo album that stands firm within her musical and creative pedigree.  It's no surprise that you can find her in plenty of Dancing Spots and Dungeons, currently across Europe while on tour.  We hope she and/or Mr. Al swing through again soon...     Read More...

"Different Light" by Best Coast

Surf-pop band Best Coast is back with their 4th album Always Tomorrow out this month.  They released a children's album in 2018 and served as the house band on Fox's What Just Happened??! With Fred Savage last year, but many of us wondered if they could recapture their early success.  We shouldn't have wondered as Bethany Cosentino shook the writer's block, got sober and coexists beautifully with the multi-talented Bobb Bruno on their new effort.  There's a video out for Everything Has Changed, but we're also feeling the upbeat lead track Different Light ~ enjoy!   Read More...

"Lost in Yesterday" by Tame Impala

Tame Impala will release The Slow Rush this month, their 4th studio album and first since Currents in 2015.  There's no arguing the talent of Kevin Parker who writes, records, performs, produces and mixes all Tame Impala material on his own.  Enjoy this trip back to the 70's with Lost in Yesterday! "Dance Of The Clairvoyants" by Pearl Jam

It was July of 2013 when we last featured Pearl Jam's Mind Your Manners, now they're back with 12 new tracks!  The legendary group will kick off a North American Tour this March which wraps up in April before they hit Europe during Summer.  So far Dance Of The Clairvoyants is the first single to be released from the upcoming Gigaton and by the sound of it we're on the edge of our seats anxious to hear the rest of the album! "Paper Cup" by Real Estate feat. Amelia Meath

This week we're featuring Real Estate who have their fifth studio album forthcoming in February.  The similarities between how this group of five have drawn their own line as a band are plentiful with that of our brand story.  We're both from New Jersey, have five members, reconnected after college and have great stories about how we picked our names...but forget about us, go listen to Paper Cup, the first single from The Main Thing (due out Feb 28th)! "Camouflage" by The Front Bottoms

The Front Bottoms have done it all over the past 10+ years, from playing massive festivals, to touring, to creating a pile of studio albums, EP's and videos.  Sharing some of our own Bergen County (NJ) roots, we take great pleasure in supporting this band whom definitely shares our Draw Your Own Line mentality.  At the end of 2019, they dropped Camouflage, and after some time off for reflection it looks like they are working on another album!   Read More...

"Exoskeleton" by Dan Luke and the Raid

Dan Luke and the Raid's debut album, Out of the Blue, was released just months after the tragic death of guitarist Dylan T. Graves.  Graves and other band members do landscaping in the Bowling Green (KY) area when not on the road.  The shocking lawnmower accident left the band with a tough decision, but moving forward and loving their music is what Graves would have wanted.  The band does have some guidance as frontman Daniel Schultz is the younger brother of Bradley and Matt Schultz (Cage the Elephant).  Check out Exoskeleton which was filmed in Graves' hometown of Franklin (KY)... "Rusty Nail" by Peter Bjorn and John

One of the most memorable songs from the early years of Jetty is Young Folks by Peter Bjorn and John.  They recently announced an American tour as part of their 20th anniversary as well as the March '20 release of their 9th studio album Endless Dream.  Although we're still a few months away from the aforementioned, we do have a typically infectious single to enjoy in the meantime with Rusty Nail!   Read More...

"Christmas at My House" by The Dirty Nil

We're keeping it Canadian this week with one of our favorite new bands, The Dirty Nil!  We're all about traditional Holiday tunes, but how great is it when we can add a fresh track to the playlist?!  Whether you're traveling or hosting, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! "Wait" by The Commonheart

The Commonheart dropped their second album Pressure this past August, wrapped up their headlining Fall tour and are keeping things lively this month down in Florida.  The 10 person band reigning from Pittsburgh is led by frontman Clinton Clegg and there's no doubt that the sound is explosive and soulful.  Bursting onto the scene in 2016, this is one of those groups that we suggest you make it a point to seek out and see live! "Don't Give Up" by Lee Fields & the Expressions

We had the pleasure of having Lee Fields headline our HopSauce Festival back in 2017.  Little JB stays busy as he released a new album, It Rains Love, earlier this year and just last week a new song, Don't Give Up.  It's amazing that Lee is still putting music out today after recording his first single in 1969!  We'll take all of the soul that we can get!
