"Earthquake Weather" by Dirty Heads

The Dirty Heads just released another single leading up to their next release California Island (March '21).  Earthquake Weather is another masterful mixture of Hip-Hop, Reggae and Rock.  After releasing Bum Bum earlier, we now have two solid tracks that have us looking forward to their 8th studio album early next year! "You Already Know" by Cold War Kids

The Cold War Kids have accomplished so much in the last 15+ years, but their trilogy, which New Age Norms 2 is smack in the middle of, is something epic!  Last year they released New Age Norms and we're betting that 2021 will bring the final album in the series (#3).  All of the albums contain (8) tracks.  You Already Know (Track #3) keeps the storytelling vivid and continues where Who's Gonna Love Me Now (Track #1) left off.  These are the only two tracks currently out off of the new album, but you'll be able to fill in the rest on... This week we're featuring Bronze Radio Return, a band that you've likely heard, but never heard of...?!  We say that because a number of their songs have been featured on shows/commercials...and they've toured the world...and they have (7) albums...and they've played all of the major festivals!  Check out the new single Still Wandering...enjoy! "Time Moves On" by Phantom Planet

Phantom Planet is back after a fairly long hiatus!  Twelve years since their last full release, the quartet led by frontman Alex Greenwald haven't missed a beat.  Greenwald wrote Time Moves On to get past his own tough personal moment, and given the current state of affairs, most of us can probably use a song like this right now to push us toward a better time.  The full album, Devastator, is out now!   Read More...

"Hero" by Weezer

Weezer isn't short on anthems, but they decided to add another one to their certifiable list last week with Hero.  Despite the new album Van Weezer being moved back, the band has released two tracks as well as making an appearance on The Simpsons this past weekend.  We can all share in this one which pays homage to the essential workers - hang on until the end of the video which includes a written thank you from Rivers Cuomo.       Read More...

"Future Peg" by Man Man

Man Man has had a long cast of members, but the experimental band has always revolved around Ryan Kattner and his piano.  Honus Honus (Kattner's stage name) comes back on May 1 with Dream Hunting in the Valley of the In-Between, Man Man's first proper released since 2013's On Oni Pond.  Check out Future Peg as we look forward to the rest of what is sure to be a super creative album! "Western Stars" by Bruce Springsteen

We've touted many Jersey artists, but none carry a portfolio even close to that of The Boss!  Bruce just dropped Western Stars, his first record in 5 years, which is receiving great reviews due to the thematic and character-based songs.  We won't disagree.  Enjoy the title track and video from a man who has stayed at the top of his game for 5 decades!     Read More...

"2all" by Catfish and the Bottlemen

Catfish and the Bottlemen have released their third studio album, The Balance.  Bay Area (CA) artist Tim Lahan has supplied the cover artwork once again and the band is hitting numerous US spots this June while on tour before heading back across the pond.  Check out 2all, the third single released from this album...    Read More...
