Jetty

After a short lapse we’ve reconnected with Jetty flow skater Billy Glatz and my oh my has he grown up! Billy recently landed an ad in the latest Focus Skate Mag as he continues his quest to be the next Fresh Find. Billy comes from a great and very supportive family and we’re proud to be back in touch and helping to support his skateboarding! Check out a few more photos here or click on the photo below. We made a small test run of Jetty surfboards this summer, but we didn’t sell any! We scooped up a bunch ourselves and even gave a few away! Recently, at Fantasy Island’s Surf’s Up week, we raffled off two brand new Jetty surfboards! We have one surfboard left which will be raffled off at the Coquina Jam on August 18th to benefit breast cancer awareness!

Kick-off fundraiser and block party for the McCreesh Skatepark Project in southwest Philadelphia!

One of our beloved Jetty urchins, Dennis O’Connor, recently took a job out in San Diego, CA – congrats man! Dennis was “the intern” during the summer of 2009 and was a pleasant addition to our family, but just because he “has to be a grown up professional” that doesn’t mean he’ll lose involvement with the Jetty brand. His training in Los Angeles, San Diego & Connecticut is just about done and he’ll be making San Diego (PB) his new home. He recently picked up a dumpster diver, surfed Malibu with some major heavies and even got a shot with Mick! Dude, it’s okay, we believe you that it was laundry day thus no Jetty shirt in the photo!

Team rider Fred Ecke just checked in and let us know that he’s busy opening a new business in Neptune, NJ – stay tuned for more on that! He gave us a few summer photos to hold us over, but is hoping for much bigger & better surf (can we get a hurricane swell please) soon! Good luck with the new biz kid!
