As Jetty celebrates our 10 Year Anniversary, former Team Rider Matthew Guarino has even more to celebrate. Matty G. is a longtime friend, ripper, father, graduate and soon to be a husband…all of those titles far surpass former Jetty Team Rider! In fact, it hurts to even write/say those words. Here’s to an epic amigo who will always have a spot on our roster! Check him out with his daughter Maeson who recently turned 3 years old and in the tube (with a 9%’er catching him still representing our brand)!

5th Annual Jetty Coquina Jam

We are proud to announce The 5th Annual Jetty Coquina Jam slated for Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Taylor Avenue in Beach Haven, NJ. This all-female surf competition benefits David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation which will use the raised funds to directly aid local breast cancer patients. Check out Camp Woodward‘s Staff Spotlight of Jetty Team Rider Ronnie Gordon! Ronnie was a camper for four years in the 90′s before joining the staff as an instructor/director. Seven years later you can skate with Captain Ron, but be sure to sign up fast as the spots dwindle fairly quickly.

2013 Get Rad Scholars

We’re proud to announce the recipients of our 2013 Jetty Get Rad Scholarship, Kaitlyn Sharkey & Connor McGlynn. Both Southern Regional grads, Kaitlyn & Connor will be heading to Brookdale CC for fashion merchandising & UNC Wilmington for business entrepreneurship respectively. We’re stoked on their entrepreneurial spirit and community involvement…keep up the great work and good luck (after having a fun & safe Summer)!

On June 5th, 966 scholarships were awarded to 288 students of the Class of 2013 by 291 donor organizations. The awards totaled $504,070. Chief School Administrator, Craig Henry, opened the evening thanking the community for the support it has given to the senior class and to Southern Regional. This year marks the largest donor group and a record amount of scholarship money awarded.

Jetty Team Rider Ronnie Gordon says that 80′s professional skateboarder Natas Kaupas inspired his Switch Stance Foot Plant. This original trick was captured by photog Scott Patricelli and provided some nice, new ground for our most recent ad in Focus Skateboarding Mag! We also just shipped a batch of freshly printed Focus T-shirts to the mag headquarters so be sure to peep them once they drop!

This week we’re bringing you a track from the awesome new City and Colour album, The Hurry and The Harm. Switching gears from his usual routine of making records in Canada, Dallas Green traveled to Nashville and immersed himself in the company of notable musicians such as Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs) and Bo Koster (My Morning Jacket). The presence of such players definitely lends something different to Green’s sound, and we love it. Check out the video for the first single, Thirst!
