We knew the boys from Underdog were rad as soon as we met them. The Jetty way of life is something we all share and pass down from generation to generation. After an incredibly successful event in 2010, Singlefins, Boardwalks & Storytalks is back for a second installment on July 22 @ 7pm at The Tuckerton Seaport. Jetty Hall of Fam’r Jon Coen does a great job bringing in top photographers who will be narrating the slide shows. Over 500 people gathered last year to enjoy an evening of New Jersey Surf history and we are sure this year will not disappoint! In addition to the endless amount of culture to soak up, there will be Jersey fresh dinners available provided by Mud City Crab House and beer courtesy of Intercourse Brewing Co (Must be 21+ with ID). This wonderful, free, family event is brought to you by Black Sails.

So what was Team Rider Danny Hart up to during the month of June? As usual, the Hart-attack was in full effect while representing Jetty & Hyperflex Wetsuits retro-style! We cannot wait to reunite with the Danimal on this year’s Surf Team Trip…it’s been way too long!

Two nights ago Team Rider Chris Scarpinato said to me, let’s go get a photo. After we skated the same, local mini-ramp we cruised to a rail Chris said he used to hit when he was 14! Scarp is all about missions. This isn’t the craziest rail by any means, but with fresh ink, a brace on his wrist, a giant puddle impeding the runway and a terrible landing spot he still managed to land a quick front side board slide with me behind the lens. A couple janitors came out back and asked if we should use latex or oil when repainting the rail? We don’t know, but offered to help. A cop rolled up, shined his spotlight and then rolled away without questioning us, I guess there’s a first for everything…

NJ-based photog Anthony Trufolo recently hit up the West Coast and although the waves weren’t top notch, he still managed to grab a few shots of Jetty Team Rider Dennis O’Connor! Looks like Dennis is adjusting to life in San Diego just fine!
