‘Music’

“I Cried Wolf” by Almost There

This is a special Music Monday because we are using it to welcome the uptempo, power-trio Almost There to our family! These guys bought a Jetty shirt in Zumiez a couple of weeks ago and bam…the love affair began! After lead man Zach Sicherman contacted us, they came down and discussed why Jetty would be such a fitting sponsor and it really does make sense. They reign from Ocean Twp., NJ and have decided to record their debut, full-length album independently (without support of a major record label). Even after winning a couple of national contests, banking some large cash prizes and scoring a visit to Pulse Recording Studio in Los Angeles, CA there appear to still be some naysayers calling them lucky. Well, we don’t think so at all! These guys are super cool and incredibly talented. They are a great example of The Jetty Life as they are working hard to pursue their dreams! You can visit them on Youtube where they post a new, acoustic cover every Thursday, like them on Facebook and check out their brand new Jetty page here! We’re stoked on adding these radical musicians to our team!

Daddy-O + Jetty Steel Drums & Rum

Get down with the Jetty crew at Daddy-O this Saturday, July 16th for a some steel drums & rum! This Happy Hour party on the back deck will feature steel drum band DNA and is sponsored by Mount Gay Rum! The weather looks perfect for a little, outdoor party, oh yeah!

“From Now On” by Underdog

Underdog is playing the Asbury Lanes this Saturday so we felt it was apropos to post their only video! Since linking up with these guys, we’ve been able to skate with Russ Iglay quite a bit up in Belmar, NJ, dude kills it! We’re hoping to also get a surf session in soon with his brother Dean, who by the looks of this video, surfs smooth and with style! It’s refreshing to see that this band participates in the activities which have inspired them to write and play their music. Check out the flyer for their upcoming show here! Great guys, legendary vibes!

“Floating Vibes” by Surfer Blood

This week’s Music Monday was picked by Jetty Urchin Erin Gehringer. Surfer Blood has certainly burst onto the scene. The youthful indie rockers from Florida have a cool website which currently hosts an interesting interview by CNN. Check it out and enjoy the music!

“I used to love h.e.r.” by Common

This week’s pick comes from Jetty Urchin Jeff Schill. “I used to love H.E.R” was released in 1994…timeless! It’s amazing that Common predicted the deterioration of conscious Hip Hop way back when…enjoy!
