The documentary “Hanging Five” will premiere on August 5th at 7pm at the La Paloma Theatre in Encinitas, CA.
Hanging Five is a film that follows five artists (Andy Davis, Tyler Warren, Julie Goldstein, Alex Knost & Wolfgang Bloch) who all happen to be surfers. The film, directed and produced by Christopher Cutri, documents their work and looks at different aspects of their lives and how those experiences have impacted their work. The film also looks at why the surf culture embraces and supports the arts.
Our friend Ryan is involved in this awesome and inspiring project that we have to share. Given The Power is a national video survey project, and film, that celebrates our diversity as well as our similarities. Check out the responses from the first question, What if you were president and even upload your own response. This project’s roots are aligned with Jetty’s as we created it so that travel, music and opportunity could become more apparent. Ryan Bott plays in the band The Following who will be performing at the Coquina Jam…he’s quite the renaissance man.
Sometimes you have to think outside of the box…and into a circle. That’s why we didn’t hesitate to hook up NASCAR Nationwide driver Kertus Davis with some Jetty threads. KD does a hell of a job toughing it out amongst some serious competition on that track nearly every week. Check out the crash from a few weeks ago…and the photo our buddy Bart Kelley snapped! Rumor has it Kertus used to skate his trash to the dumpster and carve around whenever he had time outside of his busy racing career!
Purchase $50 of Jetty gear in our Online Store and receive a FREE Jetty 9" Beanie! This offer will be valid from May 15, 2012 through May 20, 2012...grab some threads and get a free...
